Fluid Exchange Services

Oil isn’t the only fluid your vehicle needs!

You know that you need to bring your vehicle in every 3 months or 5,000 km to get your oil changed. But do you know when you need to bring it in for a transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, cooling system flush or power steering fluid flush?

Oil is not the only fluid your vehicle needs to keep it running safely and reliably!

Brake Fluid Exchange: Every 2 years or 50,000 km

Your vehicle’s brake fluid system is designed to transfer the pressure at the brake pedal to hydraulic pressure, which is used to compress the brake components.

Your vehicle’s brake fluid system is designed to transfer the pressure at the brake pedal to hydraulic pressure, which is used to compress the brake components.

  • Brake fluid is hydroscopic – it absorbs moisture, and moisture destroys expensive parts.
  • Moisture also causes brake fluid to boil at a lower temperature, affecting braking.
  • Brake fluid flush removes corrosive metals from the brake system.
  • It’s much less expensive to change the fluid than some very expensive parts.

We test the brake fluid on every visit and when the contamination becomes a problem, we will recommend a brake fluid flush.

Having a brake fluid flush every 50,000 km will help ensure that your braking system lives a long and healthy life, providing you with optimum braking power, reliability and safety. And with our value pricing and quick servicing, we get you back on the road quickly at a great price!

RISKS: What will happen if I don’t get this service done?

If this important service is not done every 2 years or 50,000 km, you may experience:

  • Dangerous increase in stopping distance
  • Failure of the ABC control assemblies
  • Failure of the master cylinders
  • Caliper piston failure
  • Rotor damage from overheating
  • Premature wear of the brake pads

Cooling System Fluid Exchange: Every 2 years or 50,000 km

Your vehicle’s cooling system is designed to cool internal engine components, prevent engine coolant freeze, lubricate water pump seals and bearings, and prevent internal engine corrosion.

  • Replenishes lubricants for the water pump bearings.
  • Reduces corrosion and oxidation of sensitive seals in your engine.
  • Provides optimum boil and freeze protection.
  • Prevents the foaming of the coolant that causes catastrophic damage.

The coolant is tested for pH, reserve alkalinity and protection levels. We will recommend a service when these levels drop below acceptable levels.

Having a cooling system fluid flush every 50,000 km will help ensure that your cooling system lives a long and healthy life, and provides your engine with optimal protection. And with our value pricing and quick servicing, we get you back on the road quickly at a great price!

RISKS: What will happen if I don’t get this service done?

If this important service is not done every 2 years or 50,000 km, you may experience:

  • Damage to the water pump
  • Corrosion in the radiator
  • Corrosion of the heater core
  • Head gasket leaks
  • Complete engine failure

Power Steering Fluid Exchange: Every 3 years or 50,000 km

Your vehicle’s power steering system fluids are used to lubricate, cool and protect the parts they surround.

  • Replenishes the additive package that is depleted over time in the fluid.
  • Lengthens the life of the seals and internal components of the system.
  • Removes the contaminants that wear the rack / steering box and pump.
  • Helps to reduce wear of the gears and shafts.

The service interval we recommend is moderate, and based on our observations of literally thousands of vehicles over the year.

Having a power steering fluid flush every 50,000 km will help ensure that your power steering system lives a long and healthy life, providing you with reliable and safe steering that you can depend on. And with our value pricing and quick servicing, we get you back on the road quickly at a great price!

RISKS: What will happen if I don’t get this service done?

If this important service is not done every 3 years or 50,000 km, you may experience:

  • Leaks
  • A loss of steering assist (which can cause an accident if it occurs without warning)
  • Shortened power steering pump life
  • Steering gear failure

Transmission Fluid Exchange: Every 2 years or 50,000 km

Your vehicle’s automatic transmission system is designed to transfer power from the engine to the wheels at a consistent level. Transmission fluid is subject to tremendous amounts of heat and wear and it fails over time as the viscosity changes.

Why is this service important?

Your vehicle’s automatic transmission system is designed to transfer power from the engine to the wheels at a consistent level. Transmission fluid is subject to tremendous amounts of heat and wear and it fails over time as the viscosity changes.

  • Replaces the friction modifiers of transmission fluid, which are depleted over time.
  • Lengthens the life of the seals and clutches.
  • Removes the worn clutch material that forms over time.
  • Flushes transmission cooler, torque converter and valve body.

The service interval we recommend is moderate, and based on our observations of literally thousands of vehicles over the years.

Having a transmission fluid flush every 50,000 km and replacing transmission filters – for those that have serviceable filters – every 100,000 km, will help ensure that your transmission lives a long and healthy life, getting you where you need to go. And with our value pricing and quick servicing, we get you back on the road quickly at a great price!

RISKS: What will happen if I don’t get this service done?

If this important service is not done every 2 years or 50,000 km, you may experience:

  • Rough or erratic shifting
  • Complete transmission failure
